Add an Instructor to a Course

BYU Learning Suite allows instructors to add additional instructors to the course. Co-instructors have the same rights as primary instructors.

Note: If a primary instructor needs to be added to a course they did not create, contact the OIT Service Desk by calling 801.422.4000 or emailing it@byu.edu.

 

Step One:

Enter your Learning Suite course and click on Users under the Course Home menu.

Step Two:

Add a co-instructor by clicking the blue +New Instructor button.

Note: Co-instructors and TAs have full access to your course, so add users with discretion.

Step Three:

Search for your co-instructor by typing his or her’s last name or BYU Net ID in the correct field. Click Search.

Note: If you search by last name, a list of users will appear. Make sure to select the correct individual. If possible, search using the instructor’s BYU Net ID.

Step Four:

Once the co-instructor has been found the Edit Instructor dialog window will appear. Update the information and click Save.
