Center Objects on a Page

Currently, BYU Learning Suite does not have a "center" button that will center objects (i.e. images, videos, documents, etc.) in the Rich Text Editing toolbar. If you want to center an object in Learning Suite, you will have to modify the HTML coding.

 

Step One:

Enter your Learning Suite course and click on Content.

Step Two:

Click on the page you wish to center objects in.

Step Three:

Click the HTML button located in the top right corner of the text box [1].

Step Four:

Locate the object you wish to center within the HTML code.

 

Step Five:

Locate the html tag that corresponds to the text. In the example picture below, a paragraph tag, <p>, corresponds to the text being centered. Copy and paste the following text directly after the tag, within the carrots [1]:

Step Six:

Click Save.

Step Seven:

Click Visual.

Step Eight:

View the object now centered on the content page.
