Exams List Page

BYU Learning Suite allows students to quickly view a list of available exams, the open and close dates for exams, exam scores, and the status of exams in one location, on the Exams List page.

Step One:

Enter your Learning Suite course and select Exams.

Step Two:

The Exam List appears. All exams published by your instructor appear on this page. The following table and picture further explain the information available.

Column Function
1 The first column displays the title of published exams. Exam titles appear in blue and are clickable for exams currently open. This may or may not be a comprehensive list of exams. If instructors leave exams unpublished or hidden, the exams will not appear on this page.
2 The second and third columns display the open and close dates and times, respectively, for each exam. Click the column title to sort the list by the available or close date.
3

The Exam Score column lists the actual score you receive for each exam attempt. If your instructor does not allow multiple attempts then only one score will be listed. If your score does not appear and you have taken the exam, your instructor may have hidden the score until a specific date.

In the example picture below, the student took Quiz 2 three times and all three scores are listed accordingly.

4

The Recorded Score column lists the score recorded in the gradebook. If an instructor allows multiple attempts for an exam they can choose to record the most recent, average, or highest score. This column reflects what option the instructor selected. Additionally, if an instructor modifies your grade for any reason, that change will appear in this column. If your score does not appear and you have taken the exam, your instructor may have hidden the score until a specific date.

In the example picture below, the student took Quiz 3 four times. A 10/20 was recorded in the gradebook because the instructor set the exam to take the average score.

5

The Status column provides information about if the test is open, closed, or in another state.

Available - exam appears as available if the exam is open but has not been taken yet.

Closed - exam appears as closed if the exam has not been taken and it is passed the due date.

Complete - exam appears as complete if you have taken the exam and exhausted all possible exam attempts.

Complete (x of x) - exam appears as complete (x of x) if you have taken at least one exam attempt and still have remaining attempts

In Progress - exam appears as in progress if you saved and exited an exam without finishing. This is only possible if your instructor enabled the save, exit, and resume later feature.

Unavailable - exam appears as unavailable if the exam is not yet open.

6 Click View to move to the exam information page. From there you can view the exam description, time limits, if you have multiple attempts, previous attempt scores, and take the exam if it is still open.
