Updates to BYU Grades

  • Improvements were made in BYU Grades and the Grader to the speed and reliability of saving scores when they are entered quickly.

  • The way dropped scores are handled when exported from BYU Grades was changed. Now, when exported, dropped scores are dropped from the total points earned column for each student.

Updates to BYU Learning Suite Exams

  • IP address restrictions are now enforced for students who have exceptions.

    • Click here for more information about creating IP address restrictions and exceptions.

  • Learning Suite allows instructors to view a summary of exam statistics through the Exams tab. However, if more advanced or customized statistical analysis is needed instructors can export the raw exam data from Learning Suite to a .csv file. The .csv file can then be imported in the statistical analysis program of choice.

Updates to BYU Learning Suite Assignments

  • Scoring options were added to xAPI assignments. Instructors can select to accept first score students receive, accept highest score, accept most recent score, or to not accept scores.

Updates to BYU Learning Suite Schedule

  • Performance improvements were made to enhance reliability in the Schedule.

  • Instructors can now add a hidden column to the Schedule. This allows them to input information that they do not wish students to view, such as lesson plans or notes. Information found in hidden columns do not appear on students’ schedules or dashboards.
