BYU Learning Suite provides instructors with a gradebook, BYU Grades, that can be used to record and track students’ grades. Instructors can choose to hide the gradebook from students.

Step One:

Log in to your Learning Suite course and click BYU Grades.

Step Two:

Click the Setup tab from the Grades navigation menu.

Step Three:

Click the Use BYU Learning Suite Gradebook [1] radio button. Check the box next to Hide Gradebook from Students [2].

Note: This option allows you to use BYU Grades, but hides the tab from students. This feature may be beneficial if you adjust grades (e.g., apply a curve) before assigning a final grade and don't want to confuse students. Please remember, however, that prompt feedback is cited as a key to learning.

Step Four:

Click Save and Continue.
